Welcome!

Welcome to the Gretna Library Foundation blogspot! We will keep you up-to-date on the progress of a new library building for Gretna.
At this point in time, we have hired a firm to do a capital campaign to raise funds for this project. It is not yet finalized as to when the campaign will kick off. The city council is currently working on the master plan for the plot of land which will include the new library building (this land is somewhat east of the current fire station). We should know more details soon as to our exact location. Our building committee has been meeting to work out plans with our potential architect.
The Foundation currently consists of the following members:
Ann Bock--President
Jenny Elbracht--Vice-President
Angie Kuzel--Secretary
Vicki Duin--Treasurer
Todd Schlechte--Library Director
Rick Gray--Library Board representative
Paul Clines
Mary Polley
Sid Polley
Callie Porter
Rod Rhodes
Jim Warren

We will be looking for volunteers to help out on several committees once we get the fund raising and building planning fully underway. If you are interested in helping out, please contact the library!
